Associate of Arts in Teaching (8-12) Degree Plan
PROGRAM INFORMATION: The curriculum shown below is designed for students who plan to pursue a degree in teaching 8th - 12th grade. After successfully completing the Associate of Arts in Teaching at Navarro College, students are prepared to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree and earn a Texas Teaching Certification

Note: All students majoring in education must take the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA) test and pass the test before they will be allowed to enter into an education program at a senior institution. Forms may be obtained from an academic counselor.
Navarro College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. Navarro
College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree
