Degrees and Majors
Navarro College confers a degree upon completion of all graduation requirements. A major refers to a college student’s main field of specialization or focus of study while completing the degree. Majors fall under types of degrees.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree includes a major in nursing.
An Associate of Arts degree (AA) includes majors such as Speech, English, Music, and Criminal Justice.
An Associate of Science degree (AS) includes majors such as Math, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Business.
An Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) includes majors such as Accounting, Business, Petroleum Technology, Welding, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy.
Navarro College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. Navarro
College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree
